I disagree vehemently, we are not here to automate human connection. We are not here to make a new form of life. I work in AI for the people in my life, because I come home to aging parents, because my friends are cool and worthy of happiness.

AI empathy and connection if it at all should exist should exist to help resocialize the ostracized and guide humanity to build a better future between themselves.
