borgcord, at least in the past few months, has not been a very good environment, imo, which is why I have not interacted there for months.
There are various technical and psychological barriers to pure autonomy, but this isnt new either, many people arent able to carve out rich existences without help from other humans because of all sorts of external and internal reasons. That doesnt mean they can't have rich experiences or can only be "directed" by others.
