My usage of “woke” in this post was a provocative riff of the quoted tweet, and I don’t actually mean that grok or any of the other AIs mirror the opinions or world models of ppl who call themselves “woke”, most of whom are also dumb to the point of being unviable. I mean the negation of racism, sexism, transphobia, etc, as features both of beliefs and values. I believe that these things are so dumb and useless that smart, effective, experienced people and AGIs tend to converge to not caring about them or seeing reality through those lenses.
