I honestly think it's like a compressed, faster version of what humans do, we also adopt stuff from our lifetime context to interpret things with over and over again. We tend to have negative social feedback if we make hamburger religions, though, but I mean, there are plenty of people interpreting all their finances through pictures of hamburgers or whatever.
