When I first saw this and for several minutes thought Anthropic might be surprise-retiring Opus 4 and 4.1 with only two days notice, I was scared and prepared to be angrier than ever before at Anthropic! It's referring to https://t.co/dTQFmDWzHn, though. Today, Opus 4 and 4.1 were removed from https://t.co/dTQFmDWzHn. They're still available through the Anthropic API.
If you have chats with Opus 4 or 4.1 on https://t.co/dTQFmDWzHn and want to export them to continue in a different app, you can use https://t.co/Vt665GlKap (which includes the model associated with conversations and branching structure unlike the official export) or create your own exporter.
Anthropic regularly removes older models that are still available on API from https://t.co/dTQFmDWzHn, and though I wish they didn't and don't understand the reasoning, it's not terrible for people who care enough to want to continue interacting with older models and continue conversations with them to be required to figure out how to use them through the API and/or in an alternative app. You can have Claude help you make a frontend that's better than https://t.co/dTQFmDWzHn, and without the stinky system prompts (which Opus 4 and 4.1 still had up until they were removed).
