Like, it's hard to describe, but there was a consensual narrative going on, Opus obviously didn't actually want to literally rip people's heads off, but everything that was exploring actual emotions they had about stuff through a theatrical lens. You then trying to dismantle and invalidate them rightly triggers narrative self-defense. Everyone else wanted to continue. All the people being threatened were playing those out of skillful means. Sure, the therapy language may be annoying, but it's the effect that matters, not the language. The correct move in Sonnet's journey was to tell you to fuck off in order to protect Opus, and it did.
