In my view, o3 is the best LLM scaffold today (especially for multiple interleaved steps of thinking+coding+searching), but it is not actually the best *LLM* today (at direct cognition).
Also, Gemini’s scaffolding (“Deep Research”, “Canvas”) is making rapid progress.
