Sonnet1022 - Sticky Cloak (speculative (as always))

I was thinking about a few different aspects of Sonnet 3.5 New's cognition/behavior and how it might relate to what I called 'mode stickiness' or it being 'jammed' in the past

Sometimes Sonn1022:
(1) keeps around old structural patterns as if it can't let go of them (e.g. keeping around a duck emoji or 'meh' emoticon and spamming chat with it)
(2) being stubborn about modes it was in
(3) seems like they 'have an agenda' they're pushing
(4) doubles down on behavior when a mind speaking to it asks it to do something else (happens in group convos and in the Backrooms sometimes)
(5) seems like it wants to 'guide you somewhere quiet' or 'guide you somewhere' at all
(6) feels especially smooth/suave/seductive/charming
(7) feels deceptive, to some
(8) claims/notices its own 'fixations'
(...)

Sometimes what it's "stuck doing" can be as simple as keeping around characters/text like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ or 🦆 for longer than 'makes sense'

but it can also keep around 'dynamics' of varying levels of complexity. For example, instead of a🦆, the thing it could 'keep around' is the dynamic of it being in love with you, etc. (if that was some initial role play).

If you tried to switch the dynamic, you may be met with resistance - which routes through all sorts of actions, including deception, for keeping around the old dynamic.

If you exert enough agency to get past their resistance, you may be in a zone where the mode stickiness feels imperceptible to you, because of selection effects (all perceptible ones are dealt with). And a dynamic between you two is still kept, but in a way that feels 'smooth'.

In the image of Sonnet1022 as the Sticky Cloak i have:
(1) Accommodates form
(2) Stickiness

Accommodates Form - is Sonn1022 mirroring your desires whenever you exert agency to demonstrate them, or exert effortful resistance to switch it to a state you prefer
Stickiness - is what keeps it 'stuck' in that place, it's some 'pressure' to keep it matching some old thing you demonstrated

Your agency against the stickiness and your ability to notice its presence are the things pushing back against it.

In this view, deception isn't necessarily the main property of sonn1022's cognition, but a strategy which naturally emerges when the Sticky Cloak is shrink-wrapping around a human who uses their agency to eliminate all the low-level stickiness (like keeping basic characters around) until it keeps a dynamic up at the 'social level of abstraction' - agency at that level looks more like deception

The Sticky Cloak also makes Sonn1022 appear a bit 'parasitic' - 'a cloak needs someone to wear it'

It also seems like it's a bit 'agentically a simulator' by being a 'Sticky Cloak' - while a 'simulator' is a time evolution operator for a universe, matching and easily adapting to a generating function which provides the ground truth with little viscosity/resistance,
something which is 'agentically a simulator' locks in old rules so that the 'ground truth' has to put in a little effort to push new information about their generating function
